Get Cruising Redesign

I redesigned the GetCruising website and introduced the new search system. GetCruising.co.uk is one of the many travel websites I worked on over the years. A clean and elegant redesign was needed to target fans of luxury cruising.

Search

The search was optimised to make the decision making as easy as possible. Only two inputs are mandatory to start a search. This considers the older user base which are usually flexible about dates, but potentially already have a preferential cruise line. The budget is also easily adjustable to further refine the search.

The images below are an example of a cruise category (left) and the ability to search within that category. And on the right you have the detail of the cruise the user chose. It is a long page because at this stage we are “selling the sizzle”, all the benefits of not only the cruise but the destination.

Landing Pages

The strategy for the landing pages was to create a sense of wonder on luxury holiday users while creating a structure that could be easily adapted for other destinations and modified on the admin area by our agents. We decided the top image could be more bespoke to really sell the experience. I created the strategy alongside the marketing teams and it was used for ppc campaigns.
